Hello
Equipment:
Alpine CDA-9815 Head Unit (2 Way and 3 Way Crossover capable)
Boston Pro 6.5 Components (Have run passive, willing to go active
20-400 watts, 3 ohm
Boston Pro 10.5LF Subwoofer (I have 2 of these but am fine with using just 1 if need be)
50-1100 watts, 4 ohm
Phoenix Gold XS2500 2 Channel Amplifier
125 WRMS x 2 at 4 ohm Stereo
250 WRMS x 2 at 2 ohm Stereo
500 WRMS x 1 at 4 ohm Bridged
Phoenix Gold XS4600 4 Channel Amplifier
075 WRMS x 4 at 4 ohm Stereo
150 WRMS x 4 at 2 ohm Stereo
300 WRMS x 2 at 4 ohm Bridged
Now, the question. Which way would you recommend wiring the equipment?
#1 , Passive with 2 subs
XS2500 -> 6.5 Components with Crossover at ~190 WRMS 3 ohm Stereo
XS4600 -> 2 x 10.5 Subwoofers at 300 WRMS 4 ohm Bridged
#2 , Passive with 1 sub
XS4600 -> 6.5 Components with Crossover at ~115 WRMS 3 ohm Stereo
XS2500 -> 1 x 10.5 Subwoofer at 500 WRMS 4 ohm Bridged
(Only using 2 channels of the 4 channel amplifier)
#3 , passive with 1 sub
XS4600 -> 6.5 Components with Crossover at ~300+ WRMS 3 ohm Bridged
XS2500 -> 1 x 10.5 Subwoofer at 500 WRMS 4 ohm Bridged
(Using 4 channels of the 4 channel amplifier)
#4 , active with 1 sub
XS4600 -> 6.5 Components without Crossover at ~75-115 WRMS 3-4 ohm Stereo
XS2500 -> 1 x 10.5 Subwoofer at 500 WRMS 4 ohm Bridged
(Using 4 channels of the 4 channel amplifier)
(Boston only lists the impedance of 3 ohm with the Crossover and not the individual woofers and tweeters)
#5 , active with 1 sub
XS4600 -> 6.5 Tweeters without Crossover at ~75-115 WRMS 3-4 ohm Stereo
XS4600 -> 1 x 10.5 Subwoofer at 300 WRMS 4 ohm Bridged
XS2500 -> 6.5 Woofer without Crossover at ~125-190 WRMS 3-4 ohm Stereo
(Using 4 channels of the 4 channel amplifier)
(Boston only lists the impedance of 3 ohm with the Crossover and not the individual woofers and tweeters)
Thank you for any assistance and insight.
