Wiring an amp

Does anyone know where the best place in the firewall to put my amp power wire through?? I was told the ECM... I'm tryin to put this in my 1994 Camaro 3.4 V6

if you cant find a rubber bushing there is a thing called drill bit

It's on the passenger side and I don't want to drive a hole

go buy a small unibit to make the hole,had to be just a bit bigger than the power wire

Well is there anyway I can just unbolt the ECM and pull it through that rubber garment to the inside

Could it burn my computer up if a shock from the power wire hits it

Take a look at the firewall from the engine compartment. Sometimes there are existing holes that are plugged with a plastic seal for options that may not be installed. Sometimes you can squeeze a wire through an existing wire harness or speedo cable hole. If you have to drill, be sure to make the hole big enough to put a grommet or strain relief in too.

View attachment 26531080This is what I use if a soft rubber grommet is available in the firewall. It has a sharp, hollow tapered point and the whole thing is hollow through the handle. So all you have to do is poke it through the grommet and slide your wire through the tool.
