Amp shuts off at mid volumes

Ok so im a little savvy with this stuff but definitely not an expert. I've got an 05 tacoma just installed a bigger alternator (130 amp) im running 2 10" polk dxi dvc's with a 1000 watt 2 channel alpine amp. When I crank the volume up to around 25 the bass hits nice, but it will shut off after about 3-4 mins of continued use. My bass on my HU is at 0. When the amp enters protect mode sometimes it wont come back on for hours at a time. What is my problem? My connections are all solid, aswell as my ground.

I know you said your ground is good but I had a similar problem and I thought my ground was fine also. But my friend persuaded me to try a new ground and bam! The amp worked great after that.

What is your voltage dropping to? could be triggering the amps protection mode. also the impedance.

I havent checked my voltage drops, but ill try that and get back to you as soon as i can. My amp wiring kit is pretty bottom of the line 8ga ground, and 8ga power with like a 16 gauge rem. Idk if buying a larger amp wiring kit would solve my problem or not if so let me know.

Also ive grounded it in two different places, and had the same problem regardless of where its placed.

its the size of your wire bro. you should be using at least a quality 4 gauge.
