Wiring 4 speakers

Ok, I have done a search on this and found all kinds of answers so i just wanted my questions to get cleared up. HOW SHOULD I WIRE 4 SPEAKERS USING A 2 CHANNEL AMP? I have a Rockford 351s, a CDT 61a component set (90 watts rms) for up front and CDT 6x rear fill (40 watts rms). My question is how should i wire these up?

option 1.) should i bridge the amp and give the 61a's 90 a piece at 4ohms and run the 6x's off the HU? (a pioneer deh860)

opition 2.) Should i wire the front and rear speakers in parallel and send each side 170 watts at 2 ohms? (my question about this is will the 6x's be drawing too much power or will the extra power just be pulled away by the 61a's?)

opition 3.) should i the the 61a's in parallel and connect them to the left channel and the 6x's in parallel to the right channel? (here i will no longer have stereo cound tho)

i've heard many contridicting opinions so please help me out.

thanks

ima go with number one...

u dont want ur refill to out shine ur front stage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

im just gonna clear this up

wire each tweet to its respective midbass drive into 2 2ohm loads then wire each load to a channel on the amp

wait so i can wire my midbasses and my tweets together to get a 2ohm load on each side...and than get the most wattage out of my amp?

thanks for the help

ok my first option seems to be the way to go...wire each side of my component set to one of the channels on my amp. (80x2 @4ohms and 165x2 @2ohms) i feel stupid asking this but my cl-61a speaker set says that the impendence is 4ohms (im guessing this is the load after it goes through the x-overs)...how can i make this 2 2ohms loads liek you guys said...?!?!?

thank you

I have the same setup and just finished installing the rear this weekend. Front comps are off an amp (right side +,- from amp to crossover, from crossover to mid-bass and tweeter. repeat for left side) rears off the HU.

OMG does it sound good, but it's been two years since I've had non blown speakers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

FYI

I had to make all 4 of my factory 6.5 holes bigger to work with my CDT speakers.
