Wire Terminals.

I usually use a vice for crimping. The problem I have are the terminals are so small, but still 1/8in. thick, so prying them apart is pretty much out of the question until I can find something strong enough, yet small enough to get it to open up just the slightest bit.

Never thought about that. I'll have to go out to my shed and see what I can find. Should I put some dielectric grease on it to keep some of the strands from fraying out?

twist the wire as tight as you can get it then while sliding the terminal on twist the terminal the same way you twisted the wire keeping the wire all twisted

usually works for me

nah but adding grease afterwards helps prevent corrosion, but heck try it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif cant hurt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I have the most problems like that with 1/0 guage lol

That never works for me. I figured out my way though. Slow cut into the jacket, pull it straight off, and then carefully take off all the strands that had been cut, and slowly sliding all of the wires in. Take a vice, smash it, then a chisel and smashing it better.

I already knew how to do all that stuff, I had a problem with inserting all the wire strands into the terminal without having a whole bunch of frayed wires. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

well...I use an exacto knife to cut off the wire cover....taking my time...slicing completely around..

But don't pull the cover off yet, when you slice just make sure its completely free from the rest of the jacket...when your pulling it off...twist that ***** hard, pulling it off.

slide the terminal on, and then hammer it shut...

I usually only have 4 or 5 strands cut...
