I am needing to put some wire terminals on some 4 gauge wiring. I know how to do it, but I usually get a bunch of strays that don't go in the terminal and just get pushed down. What is the best way to get all the threads in there?
nah but adding grease afterwards helps prevent corrosion, but heck try it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif cant hurt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I have the most problems like that with 1/0 guage lolNever thought about that. I'll have to go out to my shed and see what I can find. Should I put some dielectric grease on it to keep some of the strands from fraying out?
That never works for me. I figured out my way though. Slow cut into the jacket, pull it straight off, and then carefully take off all the strands that had been cut, and slowly sliding all of the wires in. Take a vice, smash it, then a chisel and smashing it better.twist the wire as tight as you can get it then while sliding the terminal on twist the terminal the same way you twisted the wire keeping the wire all twisted
usually works for me
I already knew how to do all that stuff, I had a problem with inserting all the wire strands into the terminal without having a whole bunch of frayed wires. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gifhttp://www.icixsound.com/iv/view_video.php?viewkey=44bc40f3bc04f65b7a35
