If you make the exterior height 18.5", the volume of the enclosure is 3.97 cubic feet, not 3.5. You didn't count in the 8.25*5.75*17 section that lines the port.

After sub displacement, you're looking at about 3.8(probably less depending on the subs) tuned to 37hz(probably higher by 1hz or so depending on the subs).

3.5 @ 37 looks to be the new rough figure.

I don't have any experience with them in an enclosure tuned that high but it should be pretty loud. Songs like Young Jeezy's Thug Motivation 101 should be pretty loud while Soul Survivor will not be anywhere near as loud.

3.5 @ 37 is correct after taking out all displacements. Is that going to be good for your tastes? I have no idea. Would I enjoy it? No, I sure wouldn't.
