Will this sub and amp work together

Hello I'm new to audio world and want to get a subwoofer and I have a kicker kx800.1 and am looking at getting two Rockford P2s and I'm looking at the factory setup Rockford sells with the enclosure and all that but it's wired to one ohm and I'm wondering if that would be OK with my amp. If they don't work together could you guys recommend a similar set up in the $250-300 range. Thanks so much.

Xfl's are loud subs. Lots of single 15s you could consider on that amp, for fair prices. Sq hds315, xfl, sa15, lethal injection 15 etc

Im guessing I could, how much money would it save me versus just buying one? Also what kind of mguec could I listen to with a 15? I thought they were pretty slow and I listen to some metal but mostly rap so I guess they'd be ok. Sorry if these are some pretty noon questions but Im new to all this.

I'm "guessing" you've never built an enclosure before. It's not too hard to do if you have the basic tools needed. And a custom box will stomp all over a prefab one.

Rap music R&B will like a ported/vented enclosure. You want loud bass, ported is your new friend.

Building your own box saves you at least shipping which will be a fair chunk of change on any speaker box and more importantly ensures that it is built properly. Basically if you want better than prefab junk you're going to either need to pay high or DIY.

Ok so I ordered the XFL1522 and im selling my kicker amp on ebay for a Hifonics Brutus BRX1516.1D but I need some power/ ground wire and I guess I need 2 guage? Will that fit in the Hifonics amp? By the way can someone recommend some good wire for wiring up the sub itself ( not the amp).

It looks like the person that I bought my truck from (1995 Chevy k1500) had subs because all the wires are there but they used an 8 guage power wire. It has nice speakers, a jvc stereo, and equalizer to. BTW whatever is recommended has be somewhat budget to because I'm 18 still in highschool and making minimum wage.
