will this new upgrade be worth it!! please help!!!

Hello people, i want to build a new system for my car, but idk if it will be worth it. Im planning on having two Digital Designs 1512 woofers in two seperate ported Enclosures, because my trunk is too small for one huge box. For power i will have two sundown SAX 125.2 amplifiers rated for 800 Watts a piece. What do you guys think? btw this will me in a 05' dodge stratus sedan if it helps!

from a single 1512 and one sundown sax 125.2...so id be getting another one of each plus a new box.

just get a sundown 1200 and another 1512 then use your old 125.2 for your front door speakers or sell it. having two amps on separate subs tends to lead to phasing issues if not gain matched properly.

well its either the $200 for the sundown or $400 for a Mmats 600.1 amp that pushes 1200....its cheaper for the sundown

Do one amp for sure, its to much of a pain to tune two amps the same.!

yeah, if it takes a few months to save up more for more power it will be less headache when u wanna upgrade in the future. don't upgrade on some kneejerk reaction cause u will find yourself with stuff you don't really want or won't fit into a system down the road, been there done that. just my .02

both companies make amazing equipment, now im not sure on the numbers but it is a safe bet that the mmats is a good bit more efficient than the sundown for instance my 4000.1 is 79% efficient at 1 ohm

so i should go with one amp instead of the two, for the ease of tuning and space, and i could keep or sell my sundown for 200 since its like new (can get them for 250 plus) and save some money also lol....anyone want a sundown? lmao

How do you figure that sundown does 800 watts?

well realisticly the amp pushes maybe 550 real watts...someone also told me the sax 125.2 is for mids, not subs...so the question is...would i be better off with the Mmats 600.1 or two sundown sax 125.2
