will this drain my battery?

I have a 69 datsun with a system installed. it has no switched power to the head unit. so i manualy turn it off each time i shut the car off. will this keep my 2 amps from drawing power while hu power off?

if you have the switch in the remote line & flip it off every time you get out, it'll turn the amps off.

therefore, no drain.

ok to be clear i need to put a switch inline the remote wire. simply turning the headunit off will not do the trick?
