very budget sub

my dad got a new HU in his acura tl and the stock speakers are fine for him, but the bose sub wont work. he wont upgrade the door speakers, i already tried. he doesent need much at all bass, just a little. so is there a sub around liek the 15-30$ range that doesent need an amp? (run off HU if thats even possible) i think the opening is 10inch

most bose shit runs a 2ohm, for 30? I dunno. Atleast get him up to 75 or so. I mean you know if he goes to the dealer they will charge lik 200 for that pos.

yes the mtx would have to be amped. and you would need an enclosure for it as well. Your best bet would probably be a bass tube...something like this:

a bazooka bass tube would be the best, but they are probably alittle out of your budget

I'd suggest a Blaupunkt PCwb1200. It's pretty sensitive and easy to drive, and it just might work without an amp if one's expectations aren't terribly high. It can also be had for ~$30.
