my dad got a new HU in his acura tl and the stock speakers are fine for him, but the bose sub wont work. he wont upgrade the door speakers, i already tried. he doesent need much at all bass, just a little. so is there a sub around liek the 15-30$ range that doesent need an amp? (run off HU if thats even possible) i think the opening is 10inch

he wont spend a hundred. if it was me id def spring for it, but he thought he could use the stock, so he doesent even want to spend any money in the first place.

most bose shit runs a 2ohm, for 30? I dunno. Atleast get him up to 75 or so. I mean you know if he goes to the dealer they will charge lik 200 for that pos.
then i need an amp too. thats the problem. if it was like 75 for amp AND sub then he might.

I'd suggest a Blaupunkt PCwb1200. It's pretty sensitive and easy to drive, and it just might work without an amp if one's expectations aren't terribly high. It can also be had for ~$30.
