Will this amp and subwoofers work correctly?

Okay, so I have...

2 pioneer premier dvc 2ohm subs.

and I was running a mono amp on it before, and it would run the amp back to .5 ohms or 1ohm no matter how it was wired, so i went and got a 2 channel amp.

I got a power acoustik 2600 lfa series amp. running at 2ohms, i believe it will put out like 600watts to each sub, and the rms is 800, so should be okay.

anyway, I looked at the wiring diagrams on crutchfeild, and i'm starting to worry.

it shows:

since it's a 2ohm sub, does that mean that the amp has to run at a 4ohm load?

If this thing puts out what it's rated for (which I doubt it does), then:

# RMS Power Output @ 4 Ohms : 450 Watts x 2-Channel

# RMS Power Output @ 2 Ohms : 540 Watts x 2-Channel

# Bridged Power : 1080 Watts x 1-Channel

If you wire each sub to 4 ohms, you could give them 450W each.
