Saw this on another forum...

I heard there were unable to compete the experiment because there was an elephant in the way.
true story. Heres proof....

For the record, I vote yes, it will take off. If they dont fuk it up.

I am disappointed that I don't see threads asking why they were banned yet. There is an awful lot of discussion going on in a thread that plainly says no discussion. Lot of wrong answers ,when the right answers are clearly written and explained. Did these same people argue that the answers in the back of the text books were wrong too?

Ok seriously, what is so hard to understand. The plane is accelerating, the conveyor belt is moving the same speed as the plane. Therefor the wheels are spinning and expending all the forward movement and the plane is in a standstill. It would just be like a car on a dyno test. The wheels are spinning but the vehicle is going nowhere. In order for a plane to take off there has to be air moving over the wings to create lift. If it is standing still then how can it have lift?

See, thats only one side of the argument. We don't know if the plane is going to be standing still or if the plane will move forward.

The plane only has to overcome the friction of the wheels spinning on the treadmill, which is miniscule in terms of power needed.

The plane can easily overcome that and move forward (on the treadmill) in relation to the ground and take off.

Yes, but the ideal experiment is that the converyor belt will be matching the speed of the wheels turning. If the plane continues to accelerate the wheels will be spinning faster which = the belt spinning faster

Most finance is straight math. You can do 90% of finance with a $5 calculator. The add wrong, divide wrong, use the wrong numbers/wrong formula. Wrong formula in the textbook, etc.
Oh I thought you were speaking about theories for like trends or something. How dare they put wrong answers on math. **** foos.

Thats the point I was going to make, but frankly we don't know how the experiment is going to go.

I figured the plane was going to stay stationary relative to the ground, but the people who came in here calling other people idiots think otherwise.

To be honest, neither side knows how the experiment is going to work, so coming in here and calling people retards is pretty ignorant of them.
