Will I regret getting my system installed at Best Buy?

exactly, if they do secure it down and it comes loose for some reason and then kills you then they are liable and your family can sue..
basically either way they're screwed, if its not secured and "professionally installed" they'll get sued anyway.

Best Buy Installer: "hey we hooked up everything to your battery just fine. no worries."

OP: "oh sweet thank god.. i didnt even know where my battery was"

Got the truck back. Everything is fine aside from the left rear door; neither the speaker nor the tweeter is functioning properly. There's a faint hissing noise but nothing else coming out of either of them. I immediately brought it back and he gave me a pretty weak excuse about them needing to close at 9.15 on the dot for "safety" reasons, so tomorrow I need to go back to get the wiring fixed on that door.

Aside from that, everything seems to have been installed well enough. There are no wires visible and it looks professionally done. The system itself sounds great, though I'm sure it will sound better when the other speakers are working. I will post some pictures tomorrow - by the time I got it back it was already too dark out to see much.
