You should have a nice sounding system as long as you're not expecting massive amounts of bass with 1 10W7 in an suv. Which Alpine amps do you have?
I've got the MRP-M1000 mono amp and the MRP-F600 4 channel amp for the components. I don't need bass that can be heard from streets away and rocks the entire car - I just want it to be deep, rich and booming if you're inside with the windows down. I mostly listen to hip hop.

One question I did have is with the 4 channel amp. I want (I think) for each channel to go to a different speaker (i.e. one channel for front left components, one for front right, etc.), because that will maximise the strength of the signal or something, right? How do I know if the installer has done that?

Ive had a couple things done at my local best buy. HU, couple amps, door coaxials. Never a problem. This may vary depending on who's doing the work but you could say the same for some high end shops. Id say do it if you don't have the time and know-how, and enjoy your system while you start reading up on some things here and elsewhere. I have never had a problem with any of my Best Buy installs and when I've gone to higher end shops later to change things they've said it looked fine. My only advice would be once they put it in and tune it, don't crank anything until you post here again and give us an idea of where they set everything. Even a chain store with half way competent installers can bolt an amp in and run the right wiring in the right places, but I've watched installers in both chain stores and high end shops do some really weird things with my amp settings that I had to change later.
I will definitely do this, too. Thanks again for all your help, guys, this is very useful.

Think I'm just gonna trust it with BestBuy, man. I can't really risk someone messing up my truck if I can't get the money back from them after. Thanks for the offer, though.

If something doesn't work, I guess? If the lights on an amp are out or there's no signal to one of the speakers.
ive heard stories of best buy trying to void a warranty because the sub box has been moved a few inches.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Hey i sent u a pm i live about 1 hour north of u have been a member on here under a diff name for long time since i got banned and know alot about wiring and such. and setting gains not a problem. have installed my entire system myself only thing someone did for me was build me a box i was too lazy haha.. but i installed subs, amp, comp amp, set of comps, all the wires hiden, put the amps behind the back seats, and the back battery in the back storage space. ran one run of 1/0 for pos and anothr run of 1/0 for neg and did the big 3

I can do it all with no problem

I assumed they bolt the sub enclosure down? It says that's essential in the leaflet that came with my W7.
They might or might not bolt it down, technically its against company policy but dont mention that to the dude incase he doesnt know.

But be sure to take pictures of the install

Against company policy? That's insane. It weights over 100 lbs. If I crash it's going to kill me :/
