If you're gonna be spending good money on a system anyways, don't be cheap and buy a nice HO alt. Then a batt under hood and one in the back just for the amp. I don't see what the point is of buying big power amps if u don't have the electrical to back it up.

but try new bat up front and in the back and big 3 and power and grounds in 1/0 and see what happens. my car has stock bat up front and red top in the back and a 120amp alt with a orion 2500D at 1 ohm and i get minimal dimming and voltage doesnt drop below 11.5 try it and see what happens

2000W / 13.8V * 80% Efficiency = 174A

Also take into account that your vehicle itself will probably draw 25A-35A, so unless you have a 200A alternator you probably need to upgrade if you plan on listening to music for any extended period of time.

Fourthly-What is your budget?

Edit: There's a dude selling C&D Tech batteries in the Classifieds section for like 110 plus shipping. Get one for under 200 and that's like all the battery you'll need.

I cant remember the size altenator in my Focus is, but I doubt it is the size of yours and I get very minimal dimming at all.

All 0/1g Knu Konceptz wiring, no big 3.........and running 1700rms.

I suggest in your case doing the big 3, and a couple batteries, one replacing your stock and then one in the back, just make sure they are not wet like the one guy said.

Check the classfieds here and see what you can find. Got 4 batteries over the years from this site.......alll with good results.

Paid 80 for my redtop and 130 for my powermaster.
