I have a 1993 BMW 325IS. I have a interstate battery. People always ask me what is my battery doing in my trunk and why is it so big. In the next month i plan on buying 2 kicker cvx 12s and a kicker 1500.1 mono amp and an amp kit. Do yall think i will need a capacitor or should i try to buy an optima battery

My cousins friend had a cap in his car. For some reason his battery drained and needed a jump start constantly. I told him to take the cap off and use a distro block. NO MORE BATTERY PROBLEMS after the Cap was taken off.

I think someone should take the time to make a tutorial for the common electrical questions. Put the capacitor issue in there, through in how to wire a second battery, and other general stuff that is commonly asked. I might try to make one whenever i get some spare time.

Im planning on getting the system then seeing how my interstate battery does, before i go out and buy an optima battery. I think im gonna get a 2 farad capacitor just in case. I really want to do the BIG 3, but my battery is in my trunk and it will be to difficult to do.

why do you think you need a capacitor? You should be fine without one, especially if you get a good battery.

The answer to a cap is no, unless it's inside an electronic.

big 3, new battery, new alt...follow that order and u should be good. Make sure to use 0/1 gauge too.
