Will a line driver help me?

Alright, I have a very cheap Dual DEH-665. It has an aux. input, and I use my laptop to play music, without burning CD's. When I use my laptop, it is noticeably louder. When playing CDs would a line driver help me out with the difference between the laptop's volume and CD's volume. I can get a pretty cheap 8-volt line driver and would rather spend less on it, than buying a new headunit.

I had a loudness prob with my cd's being played by my cheapass Jensen Indash.. and a Linedriver Eq combo worked wonders man.. it saved me alotta cash on the new Hu and also gave a new lever to my settings.. I would say it increased volume/sub output and sound clarity by 200%

I will be replacing the headunit, once I get enough cash for it. I just have no way to get enough funds for one. It's an Alphasonik line driver, he said it was the Alphasonik PLD300.

Is this thing even out yet? Or can someone show me a linedriver that is less than $60 (What I can get this line driver for)
