This is the strangest thing bc I've been dealing with car audio for years now..

the other day I had to reset the ecu (unrelated issue) by pulling the ground on the battery in my friends car because of a cel, and afterwards, the sub sounded like crap. She has a kicker 10'' L5 with a kicker 400.1 monoblock. I put all the radio settings back to what they were before the reset, and I still can't get the sub back to normal. It went from loud, deep bass to loud, more hollowish sounding bass. It's not day and night, but the difference was very noticeable.

Any ideas guys?
