I like the GTO

but ms some say gives good sound

MS-62C sounds very good, but it's also discontinued. JBL does not have replacement parts, and the woofers have a known issue of failing under normal use. It would be a risky purchase, in my opinion.

The metal tweeter on the ms line is prolly the best metal dome for the price. Only other metal domes I like is the Jl zr, and the Memphis m class

Cloth is normally more natural. Metal is normally more metalic. Normally. There are always exceptions.

The universal reason for discontinuing something good in the world of car audio is lack of profit/not meeting sales goals.

That's true. Look who JBL competes with, they don't have that big box name and they are not a hard core audiophile name. They have a small niche which is sad

failure rate of the tinsel leads is pretty common. They should have sown on the leads instead of leaving it to flop around when the driver can put out lots of excursion. Sounds great when it works, real smooth, warm and midbassy, However, not loud enough to keep up with anymore then 2 12s on 1200 watts.

I have had bith, didn't care for the gtos, kinda harsh. Running ms62c now and love them.
