Why Your Electrical Is Important!!! 16Volts!!

I trust the tranny shop doing this. Has nothing to do with them.... I just got sick of people asking me why a lot of my stuff is up for sale....

So I figured id just come out and tell people why being stupid when your young effects things when you get some brains //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

man....tranny shops that do their job right would have found part of the problem before they rebuilt the trans.......at least would have pulled pan and filter and looked for clutch or band material, metal shavings or something. Never Trust a Mechanic Fully.......IMO If it would stick in gears due to the tcm maybe the sensor that controls what gear it is in was messing with reverse too.

just a thought. And i'm not bashing or anything but that does give you a little room for negotiation on price.

My baby's Momma was at a mechanic's last week... $700 to fix leaking fuel lines... I told her the bad line could be patched up one way or the other which they told her would be 'illegal'

$25 for some high pressure fuel line and a pressure fitting for her fuel filter later, the problem was fixed...

LOL @ rebuilding a tranny when it wasn't the problem... OP I'm not even sure why you'd spend that much on a truck with 200K ??? what will you do when the head gaskets let go next month.. LOL ??

Are you his mechanic?
actually my dad is. it has nothing to do with the mechanic doing it, and he was just throwing the 5000 out there. nobody was quoted for that much or anything, he was just using it as an example that it's going to cost more money...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

X2. for real lot of cash money to throw down on a vehicle thats been around the block a few thousand times lol

I have an EA alt that does 300 at 16v. But I have never had problems with it on a 300,000 mile chevy safari. The only problem I get is the dome light fuse blows every now and then. I had it in for about a year now and still no problems like you had. Looks like that part was just going bad. Its very easy to replace.

should have bought a gm enough said . 1990 Cadillac with a 120amp stock alt and one bat no big 3 yet and my batt never goes below 13.00 volts . well now it is i think the cheap farm & fleet battery is going to sheet . im going to go out tomorrow and have them test it and the alt

yeah because chevy and gm products are known for their stellar transmissions right????

Anything will tear up giving the right circumstances..........there's people in the world that could destroy and anvil with a rubber mallet.......not to the OP

Actually, tranny's are one thing GM has done well over the years. I can name 4 or 5 HIGHLY successful transmissions designed and built by GM.... how many failures can you name?
