Then you are a socialist...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif The government CAN NOT compete on the same terms for the very reasons outlined in my previous post.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
The private industry doesnt want to compete with an optional government plan because they would have to reign in costs and actually compete.. they fear nothing more than actual competition on a level playing field.

your post explained nothing.

i don't think obama was our best choice... but there has been some good democrats in the past.. our economy was the best when bill clinton was in office.. i do think mccain would have been a better president..
I LOL'd when howard stern's station interviewed people at harlem about the election using mccain's views and they all agreed on it (they said they were obama supporters)... tons of ignorant people out there did make the wrong vote.. with a little background info i think the election between obama and mccain would have been a lot closer.
I used to like Bill Clinton but going back over history he was not "good" until the dems were voted out of congress and had a republican majority.

Why don't people just use their own cash to pay for their own health care when they need it?
Insurance companies need to profit, thus making the cost way higher. Government can't do anything well, which will make it even more expensive.

When you're ill, call your doctor and write him a check = Simple.
try that with the aids or the cancer.

The government is the same institution that stops them from having a level playing field and hinders them from bringing down costs.

examples of private industry competing with public options:

post office / fed ex /ups

private / public schools

Both of those would show that anything government touches turns to poop
if you're sure a public option would fail why are you so opposed to it?

If they cant compete no one would join the plan and no harm is done.

Nonetheless, i'd hardly call USPS/public schools a failure.
