So... whose fault is it that we have all of these programs offered to immigrants ? If I was a Mexican with no job prospects I'd come here too.
It is the fault of people who believe people with assets are under a moral obligation to help those in less fortunate situations. That is the central focus to this and the healthcare debate.

Am I under a moral obligation to help those less fortunate?

Because enough people to do not feel that they are required to help, (if they did, there would be no need for government sponsored social programs as charities would solve the issue) those in power feel it is necessary to pass legislation to require everyone to fulfill this so-called moral obligation.

If I began working under the table, I am certain the IRS would question my lack of filing.
only because you have a preestablished history of working and making a ton more money than Juan will ever hope to earn.

I'm sorry flip but you and Juan aren't competing

flip > Juan

Adam Smith thinks you should be obliged:

"The necessaries of life occasion the great expense of the poor. They find it difficult to get food, and the greater part of their little revenue is spent in getting it. The luxuries and vanities of life occasion the principal expense of the rich, and a magnificent house embellishes and sets off to the best advantage all the other luxuries and vanities which they possess. A tax upon house-rents, therefore, would in general fall heaviest upon the rich; and in this sort of inequality there would not, perhaps, be anything very unreasonable. It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion."

so is believing that the top 2% can pay for health care, cap n tax, and a couple of wars. we will all pay a high price. the math doesn't add up.
I wasnt referring to the plan, i was referring to the fact that Canada's health care system is in Way better shape than here. These top 2% have been getting SOOO many tax breaks ftaht its a start. That cannot be the sole funding of the reform plan, but cutting the cost of this war should more than fund it, ir help a great deal IMO

this question is mainly directed to people who travel alot.

after 5 years i am pretty sick of AT&T. there coverage is fantastic but way to expensive for very little minutes and the customer service is terrible.

i drive a semi for a living so im all over the country on a regular basis. i can cover up to 5 states a day and sometimes can be out in the middle of nowhere or a major metro area so good cover is mandatory as i have to keep in contact with my company, customers and family on a daily basis.

for those who travel. who is your cell phone carrier and how is the coverage/customer service?
