The biggest difference between us is that I know where my intelligence is and don't claim to know everything by trying to use big words.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
lol is he trying to use big words?

hahahaha

I think there is much mis-information.
When this first came around, it seemed tax-payer supported. However Obama's speach yesterday implied that people will have premiums and copays. Until the WH explains clearly wtf is going on, there will be much misinformation. The town meetings are helpful, but it seems like the messages is mixed, at least what I watched on CSPAN.

How about this, end the war on the country that had nothing to do with 9-11 and nothing to do with our national security and use those billions and billions of dollars being wasted there on our health care and while we're at it use that money to help those families facing foreclosures? Sounds good to me

^^ Well, the 3,000,000 people who are no longer on welfare haven't starved to death, have they? That is a deceitful graph, too. The scale is from 6,000,000 to 2,000,000. It makes it look like the amount of people on welfare has dropped to nil, yet there has been a 60% decline.
Even though I have a relatively small income, I still pay social security and medicare, and have no expectation to reap the benefits of either program. I recieve no federal aid for tuition. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
But you get some financial aid?

Yes, and why not? It's for the patient's best interest. Not only that, if someone doesn't like what the gov't based coverage offers they can still use their own private insurance company.
You guys act like the gov't is going to be any worse about screwing people than the insurance companies (who have created this whole mess to begin with) would. Seems to me public option is the lesser of the two evils.
Well, the government would have a say it what is the best interest.

Will check this out.

Or how about not borrowing and spending as much.

The FAQs do not seem to indicate whether or not people will pay a premium.

What it looks like, with these exchanges, is that they will pool the unisurable, poor, and people who chose together and offer them insurance. If this pool is self-sustaining, as Obama suggested yesterday...then there is no issue. However, the FAQ suggests tax dollars will go to this pool.

Why should people with insurance pay to cover those who don’t have it? They are already paying for the uninsured.
American families with insurance pay a hidden tax of roughly $1000 for the cost of caring for people without insurance. As more Americans become insured, that hidden tax will begin to disappear. In addition, covering everyone will put downward pressure on costs. Bringing younger, healthier people into the system will spread the risk. As more Americans become covered, insurance companies will compete for their business. That will begin to lower costs. And health insurance reform will create stability and security for everyone. If you lose or change jobs you will have the peace of mind of knowing that you will always be able to find an affordable health insurance option for your family.
So, an implicit tax turns into an explicit tax?

That works too. How about investing that money into alternatove means of energy so we can become less dependent on foreign supply of oil. I invest money into companies that look to increase energy conservation so our kids kids dont have to walk around with respirators on all day

I believe the tax dollars will come from the highest earning 2% of the population which would mean 98% of us should not be affected
