Maybe the solution is to make every car more structurally sound. However, I'm not an engineer or auto maker so car design is not my area of expertise. Even if there were breakthroughs in material structure, we would not see them until the govt found a way to get their dirty hands in the mix.
Better my driving habits? Lol. I could go to driving classes every other day and still not be able to predict the actions of a drunk or a teen joyrider that crosses the center stripe. Common sense would say that being in the bigger, safer vehicle makes sense.

Until I get my engineering degree, and we all hold hands and skip down to the DMV for "better drivers class" I will stay away from driving a tin can with a license plate.
I highly doubt that their will ever be an invincible car.

crashing two (or more) objects together that have such a large mass going fast enough is just too much energy.

If we could make our cars out of Styrofoam...well then...yay.

i like it cuz it's cheap. I never buy things from places that ship with the post office...because they are retarded...but for small things I have no problem of shipping with them and there 70 cent delivery confirmation...

what's so hard to understand about humans causing a fraction of 1% of global warming? it isn't your business what kind of car i drive, as long as it's road safe. so what are you saying? that man causes a significant amount of global warming? oh. sorry. it's "climate change" now, just in case people figure out that global warming can't be controlled by us one way or another. the volcano comment is confusing. do volcanoes spit out tons of carbon or something?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
I was confused because you seemed to be denying global warming, then saying that humans account for 1% of it. I guess my confusion was related to the definition of terms, which we've agreed is already a problem with this issue.

but would you continue to use them if you had to pay the actual cost?

Well, it seems to me that there is a distortion of the classical liberal position adopted by economists like von Mises, Hayek, or Friedman. For starters, I reject that Reagan was a neoliberal; he employed significant defense spending and enjoyed significant deficits as a result.

Second, the point I made earlier about the collapse of the economy not being the result of a free market; what of the following qualifies as a "free market" practice:

1) Artificially low interest rates to "stimulate" the economy

2) Community Re-Investment Act

3) Pressure on Fannie and Freddie to expand lending to higher risk clients for the sake of increasing home ownership (Fannie and Freddie themselves being GSE's)

4) The Single-Family Affordable Housing Tax Credits signed in 2002 that encouraged further investment in low-income areas

5) Backing the risk with bailouts

That's just a high-level overview.

and why would i cry over posting something that i knew would go above the mental abilities of you and most other people on the forum?
Obviously you think very highly of yourself and post such banal crap on a forum such as this so you can feed your elitist attitude. Yes, you are so "enlightened". We bow down to your superior intellect. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bowdown.gif.b85b23b82970bd22fb6b549c3392f016.gif

It would amaze and stun many of us if you actually posted something about car audio on a, wow, CAR AUDIO forum. I don't see your *** in the actual car audio threads much, if at all. I'm sure this isn't the only forum you spend your time talking down to the masses. Whatever makes you happy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif

All of those are the result of the original protectionist measures. Society began to protect itself from a free market a long time ago. I think you're missing the big picture.

since you really wanted to know so bad, i posted this because i thought there might be 3-4 interesting posts in response. Plus i knew it would draw in retards like you in.

Right now i have a sony explod deck hooked to the one Jensen speaker that still works in my Jeep and I dont post in other forums.

Is there anything else you want to know about me?

The South Korean city of Seoul has decided to become women-friendly. Which means, obviously, pink parking spots for heel-wearers. After all, "Happy Women, Happy Seoul!" And nothing makes us happier than pink! But there's more:
The Women Friendly Seoul Project, as detailed tartly by Time's Veronica Zaragovia, was the brainchild of Mayor Oh Se Hoon, and it's as bizarre as it is ambitious. Some of it is great: employment opportunities for women, "safe parks" for women, day-care centers, and women's taxi services and, not incidentally, more ladies' rooms. But apparently considered just as important are the pink parking spots (which, incidentally, rank a woman in heels as on a par with the physically handicapped) and paving streets - for heels. (It's unclear to me whether "improving lighting in public spaces" serves a safety or a cosmetic purpose.) In sum, says the official spearheading the program, they'll be targeting "the inconveniences, anxiety and discomfort that women in Seoul experience on a daily basis."

But while some of these things are big steps, it says a lot about a country that a woman's physical safety is regarded as no more important than her walk to the mall in heels - and that said heels are, implicitly, encouraged. It's too little too late for many Korean feminists: this is, after all, a country where at least 1 in 25 women is thought to work in a *** industry to which the government turns a blind eye, and where until very recently a strict patriarchal system was in place; even today, it's much harder for a woman to obtain a divorce than a man. Only half the country's female population have jobs, and those who do are subject to grueling schedules that make no allowances for children or family. As Zaragovia tells it, most women would rather have more childcare options than pink parking spaces. But others, says Jiyeon Lee of the Global Post, are happy for any quality of life improvements; one worker says approvingly, that because they're not going to change the country in a day, "I think it's so much better to invest in something that helps us in a practical way," like the parking spots.
Anything to encourage wearing ultra high heels all the time is nice-uh.

This from the city that already has rubber side walks for the same reason.
