It's definitely something to get used to. I have an Instinct on Sprint (iPhone clone with a few extra features), and both the phone and the service is terrible. The phone has a habit of locking up or just acting retarded... and even though I called sprint and they tell me I'm within their 3G network, I never have 3G service.

It's going there, but it will take time. Eventually local storage will be obsolete and deemed to energy inefficient and harmful to the environment. For example, you'll take full HD movies from a camcorder that streams them wireless to a central home directory supplied to you via what you think of as your wireless provider now. Only it will be a quasi government agency, similar to the post office or utility company. At home you'll have "thin clients" and a few peripherals.

If you think I'm wrong.... we'll see

this is the very reason i waited 3-4 months to get it. but i played with my girls friends one night for a hour or so and found out i loved it.

and i agree about the paying for the connection only. it is coming. probably around 2012

ihave ipod touch.. and know form trying to use it for emails and facebook chat i coudlnt do it as my only phone.

for me.. go QWERTY or go home.

Actually, one of the best audio forums out there, content-wise, I just can't get into because they refuse to upgrade to vBB or any kind of graphical board software. Makes it very hard to follow any kind of discussion.
