Nice try.
Here's a fact:

Yet the current administration claims that rich aren't paying their "fair share". This during a deep recession where unemployment is closing in on double digits. That is a fact.
You only posted that only after i posted the original article.

Nice try ideologue.

Open your eyes.

Ah, I see. I have to try to determine what your defintion of a FACT is. You asked for a fact, I gave you one. Maybe if you actually tried THINKING once in a while, you might actually make some sense.

I can spell definition.

You only provided a fact after i repeatedly hounded you for one.

I provided mine in the first post.

Isn't that redundant?
besides that wasnt even his original question.

Please give provide us with some historical examples in which spending (aka "stimulus") ever fixed an ailing economy. Really, I'd like to know.
He wanted an example of a successful stimulus .. he said nothing about it needing to be comparable to the current situation.

he was trying to trick you flip...

Or are you looking for actuarial data?

What metrics would you consider valid?

You know, it would take some time as I get this data from StL Fed, not some jackass newspaper...but if you want me to construct a couple charts I can. You won't be the first old man I have pwnt and you definitely won't be the last. I am tired of you clowns riding in on your high horse after getting your news from your local supertalk radio stations. They don't do real research either, probably because they don't know how.

I see. I would say WWII was a moderately successful stimulus. It wasn't long lasting as the recessions of the 50s killed the struggling economy. With that said, it was a victory improving the morale of the American people. Furthermore, I believe recessions are more symptomatic of a changing of psychology rather than a monetary phenomenon. We only use economic activity as a barometer of this phsychology.

Trade in your old car that you own for this new shinny one you don't need and will even throw in a car payment for thew next 5 years!

ALL this for just 4500 dollars..Wow what a steal.

We will see all these people not being able to afford the payments and the government will have to step in and bail them out just like the people that bought a 100,000 dollar house without a job.
