What really needs to happen is people need to stop living in fear and actually spend money again. The fear of not paying Bills because of all the negative press has them scared. The lenders aren't affraid to lend, people are affraid to ask. If we want to end this we need people to spend money and not the Gov't.

Bailouts mean nothing, its a quick ... Read Moresolution to more debt. They are give $8,000 to homebuyers and nobody is buying.

Gov't needs to quit spending MY money on stupid shit and let the people spend it themselves.

NO MORE GOV"T!!!
I liked that episode of southpark too.

Here's what scares me:"By 2019 the U.S. national debt will be $23.2 trillion, approximately 100% of GDP, up from its approximately 80% level in April 2009"

Scares you? I'm a lot more scared for my kids and what they are going to end up with once these bozos in Washington are done. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

They are spending $18 million to build a website to track government spending and let people watch..
Yeah, I've been in IT for 21+ years...shit, if I could get that kinda money for building a ****ing website I'd have retired a LONG ****ing time ago...typical government bullshit.

So people complain when they are not informed and say the government is hiding information. so when they build something that lets everyone look whenever they want, they complain because it is expensive?

Sounds like *****ing to ***** to me.

It shouldn't cost even a million bucks to build that website...and just because they build it (or re-build it) doesn't mean that they will actually POST anything useful on it. Remember the Barry promise to post all legislation on the White House website for 5 full days before Congress votes on it...how'd that work out? Oh yeah, they decided **** that. THAT's what I'm talkin' about.

Like I've always said, elections have consequences.

Seems with the high concern of security that a few million at least would be necessary.

New server, administration costs, more than likely it's budgeted to be maintained for X number of years. Doesn't seem THAT far off. Slightly yes, but not sub 1 million dollars.

I enjoy reading posts in which forum members have created or based an opinion on subject matters that they know absolutely nothing about. We had a 7-8 year recession with our last Republican president, yet everything that is occuring presently is being blamed on Democratic leadership and legislation. Two good TV stations that i will not even watch anymore would be FOX and CNN. Both stations twist the news in a Republican light, and the average Joe just runs with what he/she witnessed on the TV. The fact that just about every single radio and TV station within this country has a political slant makes it unusable. If you would like to see what is really going on, watch the news that is being broadcasted by countries outside the US.

The fact that one person, espcecially an uneducated or uninformed individual thinks that there is anything that they can do to change our current course, or that they could do it better, is so wrong that believing it is absent-minded. The economy started sinking a long time ago, and there is nothing that anyone on this board is capable of doing to change that. Throwing money at an economic depression is not going to fix anything, however neither is crying on a CarAudio forum, myspace, or twitter. The government will continue to spend imaginary dollars, and there is nothing to be done about it. National deficit is nothing new.
