why do they seem to station the poorest, rowdy, uneducated and ethnocentric, thuggish looking ghetto dwellers from the deep south overseas? They actually had to ban them from entire neighborhoods in Seoul for reasons like this:

USFK commander Gen. B.B. Bell banned his personnel from entering the neighborhood between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for “force protection” concerns in February after a U.S. soldier brutally ***** a 67-year-old woman in the neighborhood on Jan. 14.
Seriously, its no wonder we're so well regarded around the world. We certainly know how to choose wonderful ambassadors to interact with the local people. I'm all for getting some of these people out of the inner cities and off welfare, but come on we should find a less visible place where they will cause less damage.

i was there and a flag bearer @ Bell's ceremony when he came there. it was teh gheyz.

what neighborhood? we were banned from a lot of places //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

The problem is that the military mainly appeals to the graduates who don't necessarily have much of a future outside of it. These are your uneducated people like you described many times and thats why the military is currently having so many discipline problems. There are definitely those who chose to go because they wanted too and who don't cause problems, but the ones who do cast a bad name on all. It was an Onion comic but its sadly true, The US Army, taking America's bottom 15%.
