I just gave my dogs away so i can go to korea.

Had them both since they were puppies; the black dog's 11 and the dane is almost 9.

I can get them both back when i return, but shit they could be dead.

Sad.

I used to feel the same way. In fact, once, i was going to camp for the summer because i couldn't find a place to rent to me with them. The day i was going to move to a campground, i ended up finding an apartment that would let me rent with a $1000 deposit.

But now i realize i probably shouldn't have ever gotten them, and what a hindrance they are for doing stuff like travel. It adds a huge expense to any trip when you have to plan on not only funding your vacation, but $50 a day to kennel dogs.

My mom is taking the black dog, and a close family friend, one who was willing to drive from Washington State to South Dakota to pick him up, is getting the great dane. The dane is going to live at a secluded beach that is only accessible by boat or a set of steep *** cliff side stairs. All the houses are on stilts. Its a nice place. He's pretty lucky.

Your not really giving away your dogs then. So this is a different situation.

But to say you shouldn't have gotten them because of the problems with travel. Eh, what happens when you have kids? "Sorry Mini-Faulkton but your gonna have to go live with grandma while I go tour Europe" lol

I understand your thought process and you are most likely making the right decision. But if my choice was Asia or my dogs, I would pick my dogs. Of course, I travel to Asia on business anyways So maybe I'm sounding like the good guy when in reality I get the cake and eat it too
