Honestly I don't think its a bad idea (maybe its because my dads a forensic scientist, and is head of a company that would benefit from this) but anyways, DNA can provide so many things, its kind of just like getting finger printed when you're getting processed in jail. Just like some parents get their kids DNA incase their child ever gets kidnapped so that they can identify them if they are killed. Same for soldiers.
It can prove things and single people out. Its big brother type shit. Its a lot different from finger prints because it contains so much more information. If a parent wants to have their child DNA's thats fine because they are the custodial guardian, and, if you are convicted you give up your rights.

I thought it was guilty until PROVEN innocent. Using their logic whats from stopping them from demanding EVERYONE come in and submit for DNA testing to create a database of everyone.

Think of what they information could be used for and what it would be worth.

Terrible idea.

Police state ftl.

they indeed put RF chips in passports.

You know what though?

You freely choose to get a passport. If you don't want the chip than dont get a passport.

But if i am arrested on charges and then they are dropped because i am innocent, then they have my DNA and have invaded my privacy when i have not given permission or done anything wrong.

Following that logic to the end they could force us all to give DNA.

I dont like that.

that is what we are told but for longer than ive been alive it should read

" guilty until proven innocent or until you have the $ to provide a good defense"

Well, it's the government. You have to be able to trust your government. I can't see what could go wrong.

its a brave new world.

How long before they sell this information to insurance companies to decide how much you pay based upon genetic markers for disease and illness.

Employers could make hiring decisions based immune systems and mental make up.

I agree with whoever said they should take a DNA sample from everyone at birth. There would be a lot less unsolved crimes. Would make a lot of people think twice about ****. ( That's the main crime I was thinking of. )

So now they'd have to kill the bish and dice her up rather just letting her live.
