i had no luggage prior to these purchases.

Just one old beat up suitcase from my mom, with no wheels and a hole in it, and an odd assortment of regular back packs and cheap duffel bags.

I looked at some Patagonia, osprey, and eagle creek luggage.

I liked the features, price, and 'No matter what" warranty on the EC shit the best.

The osprey was a close second
