i never believe people when they say they get great MPG either, so its ok that you all think I'm lying or cant do simple math.
I honestly think its a combination of the reflash, ultra flat terrain, cruise control, and little or no wind (or tailwind).

Wasn't questioning you...I use the same methodology. Although some have said that isn't completely accurate due to fuel return or some nonsense. I figure it is close enough.
I get around 22-23, but my engine is twice yours and more suited for towing and hauling...

We have this stupid thread every few months. Yes, gas is going up. Lets just take a moment and let that sink in.
Ok, now if it *REALLY* bothers you, sell your vehicle and get one that uses less gas. Remove your subs and all your amps and reduce the weight to help the car be even better on gas.

Buy a scooter, motorcycle, hybrid. Do something and stop just sitting around complaining about it.

They are already paying near 10 a gallon in some parts of Europe.

Probably not, that's usually included in utilities so I'm assuming he spends $450/mo on gas for his car?!
