lmao. At a gas station near my house, the sign for Diesel prices isn't the one where you slip on numbers, it's the old version where there's numbers 0-9 and you just use which one's applicable. It's like, you flip one of the cards around to reveal a number on either side...

Anyway, the dollar only went up to 3. They had to get a card that goes in the actual slip on board and put it over the $. So, now it's $4.50-something.

gas seems to be rocketing up all of a sudden, it was 3.84 today when i filled up, last time it was 3.69 and the time before that it was 3.53

How the hell is it rising this fast???

Has anyone ever thought of buying shares in oil??? I have a feeling that stock is going to be continually rising... might be a good way to make back gas money

Yeah between the Tahoe, the pulling trucks, the dump trucks, and the other items we own that take gas its not looking good, we already had to raise the price of trucking up quite a bit more than it was just 4 months ago, its getting freaking rediculous!

I think our government needs to drop gas taxes and help subsidize the situation

since they assisted in the rising of the prices........

Its a shame when the average person in America has to spend a full day's pay

to fill his car to go to work....OIL company's have become Heroin dealers and fat cat execs are getting bonus's that are staggering , middle eastern countrys are building citys that wil

dwarf ones like our own major citys and creating luxury hotels and havens on our dime...

We are truly stupid

I don't believe $8 gas is sustainable, the demand curve inflection point will probalbly come at $5.50 - $6.50. Even a Monopoly or Oligopoly like OPEC will seek to maximize profits. Since supply is fixed in the short-term and we are at about 85-90% consumption capacity now, there isn't alot of room to shift the move along the supply curve. So then the key factor is your demand curve and specifically the price elasticity of demand. It isn't just a problem here in US the issue is global and as the price gets bid up we will be able to maintain consumption level much more effectively than others.

So...
High gas prices only effect poor people.
FACT
Quit work and live on welfare.
Always an option for the complainers.
im not poor, IMO anyways, but i consider my costs of $600 a month on gas a little excessive...
i think most people do.

btw, im not sure if you're kidding or not, just wanting to comment on it.
You are poor and you're a whiner.

im not poor and it Affects me greatly. but then again i get bad mileage and drive 1.5 hr round trip to work and back
if gas truly goes that hgih, theyll have to raise min wage just to let people buy gas

and why thehell is congress so concerned with baseball and football practices being taped, and not with gas prices skyrocketing while oil execs laugh all teh way to the bank
You are poor.
They will not raise the min. wage.
They better not.

People are going to start stealing gas out of people's vehicles.

There will be a revolutionized and easy method for stealing gas and it will become a big problem in the U.S.
