Not all public schools are bad, but it's a ****ing shame how little attention is being payed to most public schools. Hopefully things change under whoever the US's next president is.

I agree we have tests what seems like every week so the district/gov can see our "progress" but the teachers end up teaching for the tests

Same public school system from K-12.

Turned out great with a graduating class of 148. We were a level 5 school (highest level in our state). Had great teachers in advanced classes that prepped me well.
