I think the problem with the Utopian societies tried before is that it invariably concentrates power into the hands of very few (less than 5) people. Alot of Utopian mass murders where able to gain power by simply murdering the opposition. Somewhere like America this really wouldn't work.

Personally I'm quite content with the American system and my heart doesn't bleed for anyone who doesn't have the balls and drive to create their own personal utopia within our borders...
