Use this logic to prove the Revolutionary war took place.

Can't see it (camera wasn't invented)

Can't taste it, hear it, feel it or smell it.

You can say "We don't belong to Britain anymore," which we know is true, but you can't prove it using the five senses.
Fine.....

I can't see, taste, hear, feel, or smell it because I wasn't there.

But there's existing evidence. There are still items that are being found on battlefields (muskets balls, bits of cloth and paper, coins with the date legible, etc).

And it's easy to prove this land doesn't belong to Britain anymore.... I can see the flag of the USA flying in various locations. I can see the Declaration of Independence. Now, associating those couple of things with a bit of logic and common sense would lead someone, even with slightly below average intelligence, to the conclusion that the USA is an independent nation.

However there is also existing evidence to certain things in the bible, such as towns (and ruins), battlefield artifacts, the dead sea scrolls and many other thing that were written about in the bible. There is evidence to prove the bibles validity just as there is evidence to prove the existence of past events.

I agree as far as some of the references in the bible being proven (the town ruins, the battlefields/artifacts, dead sea scrolls, etc etc), but they all lead to one thing that has yet to be proven exists.

We really should stop this debating over nothing.

This thread was to list favorite bible quotes, and it's steered way off topic. I'm partially to blame, so I regress.

right, but it can be proven scientifically. he was downplaying christianity (idiocy) by ONLY asking for proof based on the five senses. or 6 for religious people..being "hope".

they hope to god (how ironic) that god himself is real, as are his out of the ordinary teachings, or else there life has been a waste.

I think the word you are looking for here is digress.

No.

3. To have a tendency to approach or go back to a statistical mean.

v.tr. Psychology To induce a state of regression in.
Meaning, I'm going to go back to the intent of this thread... by listing favorite bible quotes instead of pointlessly debating theistics.

Then you used the word incorrectly.

digress, on the otherhand, fits the sentence more appropriately

di·gress /dɪˈgrɛs, daɪ-/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[di-gres, dahy-] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation

–verb (used without object) 1. to deviate or wander away from the main topic or purpose in speaking or writing; depart from the principal line of argument, plot, study, etc.

2. Archaic. to turn aside.

Furthermore, perhaps you should say, I will regress, I shall regress if you want to use the word regress.
