The fact that this kid was pushed over the edge by some internet chatter is bullshit.

The fact that some of you have no remorse is even worse.

I hope none of you lose anyone to *******... Terribly disgusting.

I don't find it funny really I just think it's sad that the parents weren't handling her depression problem better. If a kid is to a point where an online message sends them over the edge, you should monitor the child closely.

Honestly I don't think the adults pushing the kid over the edge are at fault unless they KNEW she had depression. Then I could see why they should be punished.

listen i dont have shit against religious people. in fact i used to be religious myself. i do go back and forth, and sometimes still "talk" to "God", whatever it maybe, because i catch myself believing it.
but then i hear shit like one of my instructors wife's friends. his parents were missionaries and tried to spread the faith in a south american country. he was still a little kid at the time. his parents were killed and cut up and left in their room by a tribe, and he (who was very young, but i dont remember the age since my instructor never told us) walked into the room to see his parents hacked up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

shit like this makes me think...what the ****? they're trying to spread the religion and get ****ed in the *** over it.

thats not the only thing though, i have my own feelings about this shit, which go back and forth.
I definitely feel you on that one... one that ot me was that a mother on her way home from church was struck by a car and killed with her kids in the car... I have definitely had my times of just not understanding... but I also know life is wayy too complex to be able to sum up somebodys life as a missionary or a church-goer. Manifest Destiny was implimented by the "missionaries" of the time... and they did some pretty horrible stuff. But the people they conquered read past what they saw and still believed... like slaves in the US understanding Exodus... You have to read the book rather than look at what you see... that's what faith is all about... knowing that you are limited by your senses. That's why I know how science is weak... its based on our limited abilities to see, taste, feel, hear. What makes us think we're capable of understanding on a Godly level. One of the things that I learned while getting my B.S. in Biochem... is mass defect. If you can understand that concept, you can understand the limitations of science. In short... 2 protons have a mass... lets say 2 amu... when they join together, they should be 4 amu, since 2+2 is 4... however... they will equal 3 because 1 amu is loss to energy... how can energy have mass... energy is something we can't see, taste, feel, we can only enumerate for calculation... there's a whole part of life that we don't know about.. my dissertation

I have to disagree. We can't have idiot adults out there making trouble for kids. It's not right.
I'm just saying what happened is indeed very very tragic but the fact of the matter is, the girl had a serious case of depression and should have been monitored better then she was. They should know what is going on in their childs life anyways.....

I agree, and some of the blame should be shifted to her parents. I'd bring up my comment about the mother arguing with the daughter for the fifth time, but I know it'll go unonoticed.

They shouldn't be charged with something excessive like murder or manslaughter, or take blame for the death.

But they should definitely get something. Something like, "Statutory Harassment", or "Corruption of a Minor".

ohh ok I see what you are saying. That I can agree with, yes they should probably get some sort of blame for the incident but should NOT be charged with murder. Harassment would be a good charge.

I just wonder if they're remorseful for what they did. Knowing that the life of a child was ended because they were worried that she was talking about their daughter... what the hell... it takes strength to kill yourself... you can be too weak to do it... the real weak person is obviously the daughter of the other fam that went through the trouble of creating a fake myspace account... that was overboard by itself, let alone costing another child's life.

for some reason this just made me laugh to the point of tears. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
