It's way too early to call.
I believe that this election, like the last couple, will ultimately depend on what happens with evangelical movement.

Will they turn out for Rudy or Mitt, an abortion supporting gay rights advocate and a Mormon respectively? Will the cracks currently surfacing in the movement become salient and cause fragmentation? Will Dobson really run a third party candidate?

Or will they coalesce around a figure that is capable of beating Hillary, as indicated by pat Robinson's recent endorsement of Rudy?

Given the current administration, this election should be in the bag for the democrats but they might have shot themselves in the foot by running the most polarizing woman in memory or a black man.
They already are backing Rudy... I'm pretty sure that was the update I heard yesterday

It might be Hilary vs. whoever the way the media keeps pumping her up as the front runner... despite all the people backing the other candidates at a grassroots level. Don't trust what the mainstream media tells you... remember how they didn't do their jobs leading up to the war. I think Phil Donahue and Dan Rather deserve their jobs back. We're all doomed with all these war hungry idiots. (hilary with her nonsense step-towards-war-with-Iran vote, so "we don't have to go to war")... that was the dumbest thing I ever heard of.

iran is a real threat though. more to isreal than us, but a threat to us nevertheless. more of a threat than iraq was.

The only reason we THINK Iran is a threat is because the mainstream media keeps going along with this new wardrum beat. We keep getting shown idiotic comments by Achmadenijad when he isn't even running the country. He's not the Supreme Leader. Iran has stated that they would go along with what the Palestenian people want in Gaza... which is a two state system. They want to just break away from the "fight" with Israel. They proposed it to Israel desiring peace; but who turns it down? Israel. We need to realize who the aggressors are in these situations. We allow pakistan to gain nuclear weapons under Reagan as if we didn't know... and now look who we're dealing with. We put Hussein in power and trained bin Laden. Americans need to wake up. But I know how hard it is to read behind the bullsh*t of NYTimes, LATimes and all these mainstream media outlets.

lower the national debt byyyyyyy. *drum roll*
TAXES

Cause we know everyone who has a ****ing job just loves paying more taxes!
Well guess what my friend, lowering taxes hasn't done jack shit, yet when Clinton was in office, the economy was roaring, people had jobs, we were safe, we lowered our national debt to a record low, no major wars and best of all, people had money. So if raising taxes causes that, then yes, I will gladly take it.

i found out something odd the other day. you know rush limbaugh has more listeners in a week than american idol had viewers? i found that astonishing. he's actually pretty smart. he leans too far to the right for my taste and it clouds his view on bush to be sure, but he has some decent views on things. i listen periodically, although, i wish he'd stop swingin' on bush's pubes and be honest. he panders too much to the right when they're wrong.
Yup, I really love his views on Oxycontin and other painkillers and also illegal drugs.

lol. he's a high class heroine addict. the same guy that thinks people deserve prison for illegal drugs. i realize he's a hypocrite. that doesn't discount some of his views though. the same liberals that advocate legalizing drugs, rip him apart for being a drug addict. irony.

I don't think its ironic. It's just like a homosexual person ripping larry craig apart (although who knows what the real story is.) If you have an ideology and you see somebody being a hypocrite that should be on your side, then you should rip them apart per se.

the irony is that both sides are just as blind. it's the bigger picture that's ironic.

what do you mean by both sides are blind?
the left and the right are so far consumed with their agenda that they don't even see what the people of this country actually want. most people are in the middle on social issues, maybe leaning a little to the left or right on social issues (abortion, drugs, health care, etc.). the democrats pander to the far left fringe, environmentalists, aclu, moveon.org, anti-war democrats, etc. the republicans fold to big business, the evangelical base, anti-abortionists, etc. neither side really gives a crap what mainstream public wants. you and i aren't being represented regardless of whether we're democrat or republican. both sides are so far gone. america's in trouble. we're gonna lose it.

i agree with all of that... hopefully one day i see the irony in it... to me its just sad... i really think the people to blame are:

1. Ourselves for not getting off our ***** and standing up for what we believe... protests are very democratic.

2. the media for sending us sidewinders that we fall for if we don't do our homework.... which kinda makes it our fault again.

Good luck starting a revolt in a society where more people care about "American Idol" than "Who Wants to Control Your Country".
Pathetic isnt it?

The bulk of the country is too busy focusing on themselves to even realise a problem when they see it, just the way its planned to be.

i had no choice but to get news from media for a long time. no other source available. seems tv is almost a waste of time for unbiased news anymore, but, taken with a grain of salt, they still have some use. i listen to alot of commentary on radio during the day. usually a local guy named peter boyles, then i flip between a conservative/libertarian (not ot be confused with liberal) named Mike Rosen and a non-political show about consumer problems and issues hosted by Tom Martino. i like Glenn Beck in the afternoon. if i'm still at work at 3, we have a political show hosted by a conservative and a democrat who debate different things live on air. our newspapers are useless politically here. everything is skewed to the left blatantly so i stick to the sports section.
Thats cool, add in some online media sources as well. Just to broaden what you can see, the understanding of what you see is upto you. Im sure you're more then capable to come to your own conclusions.

Irans problem is their leaders, ive spoken to MANY Iranians that have lived there for decades and they'll say the same thing. The pressure their leaders put on their people is beyond whats necessary. Other then that, they just want to be left the hell alone to live their lives & dont like how their country is being run (sound familiar? lol).

Im sure they are looking for a nuke, but for different reasons then what our media would list. They'd want one just to make sure the US wouldnt even think of trying to control them, basically a leverage tool. As far as Israel goes... sigh... they can wipe their own ***.

I dont like the fact that the US sends them $3billion USD a year, in return AIPAC supplies congress with more then 50% if its $ through lobbyist. Its just an observation, but it doesnt take a scholar to put 2 and 2 together and figure out something is wrong there. As Cheney himself stated, you dont have to be right to win in politics. You just need 50% +1 person.

So if AIPAC can persuade that 50% themselves, shit they control our congress. Why does another country have that capability? Why does the US fund it through our tax dollars? and why the hell dont they let the UN weapons inspectors check what they have? They are the only country that has nuclear power and doesnt follow the rules. Is that not a threat?

They'll find chemical, biological and nuclear weapons beyond what your mind can conceive in Israel. Are those not what we call WMDs? and unchecked ones at that.

we've been programmed since children. big city schools are increasingly bombarding our kids with agenda, mostly liberal. tv as well. even sitcoms. ever notice how the man is always the moron in almost all sitcoms?
