basically its a great way to take and access notes, like notes taken in class or gathered for a research project.

I'm just getting started with it, but already judge it a phenomenal improvement over using word for keeping track of notes/sources/information.

A bunch of tabs along the top for classes, projects, ect and then pages along the right.

You can also draw anywhere on a page or type anywhere. Grabbing information and moving it around is simple. Sharing information between people and computers is simple.

oh and i used the snipping tool in vista to grab the pics - snipping is also great and simple.

I must say that they are an improvement over XP and office 2003.
OneNote is superb, I only wish i would have been using it sooner.

I was hesitant about both after reading so many complaints and hearing stories of people going back to XP, but i have decided they are all just complainers with outdated hardware.

If you have a decent system and a basic understanding of computers, vista and Office 07 are where it's at.

I guess if you are a 53 year old mom using a gateway from 2001 you probably should stick with XP.

I'm never sure if you are being sarcastic or not, but i will answer anyway.

Snipping lets you capture stuff off the screen save it easier than inXP.

I am running Vista Ultimate with MS 2007 and as long as people are smart enough to know how to find and update there drivers. The OS is flawless. Also MS is did not dumb anything down they just made it more efficient. You just need to play with it for a while and you will see it is really better. I think most people walked into MS and Vista with only bad expectations and that is ruining the whole experince. There are so many things I can do better and faster with this setup over my XP with MS 2003. My comp even runs faster which surprised me the most.

I was afeared of teh vista until i got to know her, and it was based on some negative nancies with notihng better to do than to complain too much online.

Now i want to install it on my other computer because XP just doesn't cut it in comparison.
