Its not like all their cars are made here now.
They are really just threatening to move the rest of the manufacturing out of US.
yeah i had a pontiac made in canada, girlfriend had a taurus made in mexico, and now both of our honda's made in Ohio. go figure.

shut up you domestic fanboy.
everyone knows toyotas and hondas are just better made cars.

Anything made here is junk.

Most their stuff is made her....read this.....http://www.toyota.com/about/operations/na-affiliates/index.html

It is also a proven fact that if a Toyota, Honda, Ford or GM each have 8 problems within 10,000 miles the Ford and GM owner find it unacceptable believing Asian cars have less while the Toyota and Honda are brainwashed into believing American cars have more. Its a study and a thesis that has been published by a fraternity brother of mine 3 years ago. He graduated from Harvard's school of business and now works for Ford and is heading their negotiation team in this article you published.

doesnt surprise me in the least bit.

bumpwell: yea but we saw how that went lol

Hmm, I could care less about ford or chevy. I own one now, and I am not at all impressed with it. American cars have soooo many maintenance issues, that it's simply unbelieveable.
You're right. It is unbelievable and simply not true. Maybe you had a problem with your vehicle but by and large this isn't the case across the board anymore. According to vision and JD surveys/awards. GM has less problems per 100 vehicles made than Nissan. The only Asian company beating them on this was Toyota/Lexus which is of no surprise but even their lead is by a slim margin. BMW has more problems per 100 than Nissan, so there goes the German engineered superiority. The main problem with GM and Ford that I can't argue against is that they aren't making cars people WANT to buy. That has been dictated by market sales in an obvious way. However hogwash statements on reliability and maintenance are BS anymore and stem from the late 80s to early 90s when the American companies were severely under these foreign makers in problems per 100. Today with globalization, cross platforming and tech sharing, this broad statement you made holds no water.
