It just appears that it is rare for a person of talent and virtue to be interested in entering politics.
There is no value in it because they cannot make the changes they want to make. A CEO can implement sweeping changes, a priest can reinvigorate a congregation, all the president can do is beg congress.

a) They have no private life

b) They are constantly criticized in public

c) They can make more money elsewhere

d) They can have more power elsewhere (ie the Chinese 'President' visited Bill Gates before George Bush)

e) The virtuous do not want to play the games required to be successful.

I take it you aren't using virtuous in a Machiavellian sense.

The lobbying industry, and the politicians they lobby, seem filled with Machiavellian virtue.

For a negro.
Hah, funny thing is that the other night a pro boxer (black guy) was at the poker table with me. I have played poker with him several times before.

Anyway, this really drunk white guy commented to the boxer about how "well behaved" he was and then asked him who taught him how to behave. I asked the white guy who it was that failed to teach him how to behave.

I felt like saying, "you might as well call him a n!gger."

I have a copy of The Prince for my bathroom reading. It helps me manipulate my way through the complex politics of ca.com.

i think all regulars in the lounge have a fair amount of Machiavellian virtue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

1. God is the being than which no greater being can be conceived.

2. We can have an idea of something that doesn't exist.

3. something that exists in reality is better than something that exists as an idea alone.

4. God existing in idea only is contradictory to the definition of God, because we can conceive of him existing in reality which is greater than existing in idea alone.

Therefore to claim that God doesn't exist is contradictory and indicative of someone who doesn't understand what god is. God exists.
