its a shame to think that while millions of people are sneaking into our country to steal our jobs this guy, the mayor, is waiting in line to buy a god dam fancy pants phone.
True, but just cause he's the mayor does it mean he can't test some of the newer technologies that interest him? It's not like he doesn't have his own interests or hobbies.

it seems like he might be able to make better use of his time.

Perhaps have someone else stand in line for him.

If he didn't think of that, perhaps he shouldn't be mayor.

That's fitting for the 'district' he represents. Was he elected during the Clinton term?
Marion Shepilov Barry, Jr. (born March 6, 1936) served as the second elected mayor of the District of Columbia from 1979 to 1991, and again as the fourth mayor from 1995 to 1999. He was the target of a high-profile 1990 arrest on drug charges, which precluded him from seeking reelection that year. After he was convicted of the charges, Barry served 6 months in prison, but was elected to the D.C. council in 1992 and ultimately to the mayoralty in 1994, serving a second term from 1995 to 1999. Today, Barry serves on the Council of the District of Columbia, representing Ward Eight, which comprises Anacostia and Congress Heights.
