i think that more and more people are coming closer and closer to a true social and (and hell maybe even class) consciousness..and its frightening to them and their fear is used against them.

I tend to agree with you, but in this situation who were being groomed? This was random violence, just chaining a door and opening fire. Fate more than selection.

what i said was not related to school shootings at all, in substance at least. I guess it was inspired by people blaming 'our decaying society' for such incident, but thats a pretty weak and non-causal relationship.

I like your response about the decaying society from a thread a while back. That since values and morals or relative, we aren't really decaying but shifting our paradigms.

I'm still on the fence if we are, in reality, decaying. Perhaps this is the very nature of us as humans. Pure destruction. We try to fight it, we live by rules, we try to walk the straight and narrow. You give us the freedom to move around, walk off the line, and we destroy everything around us, we make sure we never have to walk that line again.

Why? Because once we see what freedom really is, we can never go back.

Then again, maybe something is wrong, the code has changed. We were peaceful and loving and now its built into us to hate. By code I mean genetics.
