I saw Colin Powell speak last week, this guy is the real deal. He was very clear on what direction America should be heading and spoke about solutions rather than political agendas. It was very refreshing to hear about his views w/out all of this right vs left or dem vs. rep. twists on everything.

Too bad the guy is 70 and has decided not to put his family through all of the election crap, he is exactly what this country needs now!

Iran took the British soldiers hostage because they knew the UK and the United States, and of course the United Nations would be weak and wouldn't do anything. They knew they could parade those soldiers on Al-Jazeera...make themselves look big and bad in the Arab world and embolden the insurgency. And it worked. Britain's response has been incredibly weak. The biggest consequence to Iran has been a public scolding. Now England has opened up direct diplomatic talks with Iran over the issue. There's also been a prisoner swap...that captured Iranian official that was in Iraq? He's been sent home. And what have the Brits gotten in return? Nothing. Zip. Zero. Nada. So what you're witnessing is appeasement in action. The British government is cowering in fear as the Islamofascists in Tehran push them around, making a mockery of their military might...or lack thereof. This is something you'd expect out of the French...not the British. The proper response would be to start dropping bombs until the soldiers were returned. You know...like Margaret Thatcher...or Winston Churchill would do.

There intension was to put the Soldiers in there nuclear production facilities, Thimking it would stop a stike on it. The problem is they would do it anyways.

So you support trying to bring peace and harmony to the entire world with force. You want to end all injustice and engage whole heartedly in a world wide campaign of nation building with the barrel of a gun. That sounds like a great plan; and totally realistic.
How many wars should we fight at once to spread democracy and save the world? The world is full of horrors, tragedies, and injustices; why limit the theater to just Iraq?

Changing tactics is not the same thing as redefining the reason for initial, and continued, involvement.

Why not ask the French why they support helping Syria, Iran etc with building Nukes

If it was me, I would Nuke all of them right now. Park a few Subrines of there coast and let them have it! After the first Three or Four cities the rest would shut there trap and mind there own buisness.
