do it all the time. most of the neighbors around my house have their wireless' locked though, but at my dads apt, its a free-for-all.

and yes a 17" laptop is too big man. mines a 15.4 i think and its just the right size. i'll save the bigscreens for my desktop at home

if you are 6'4" then a 17" laptop is perfect.

I used to do that before I got a verizon card for work, just pull up in front of an apartment building connect, check and send emails. Now I can do it anywhere.
