haha frosty....you knew what i meant lol

I started class today and for my bio class we all need these remote control looking things called 'clickers'. Supposedly we use it to login for attendance, and answer questions the prof ask in class. Ive never heard of these things before today, but that isn't surprising considering i haven't been in school for about 5 years. I got mine form the bookstore today and just went on line to register the thing and pay the $15. Does anyone else use these weird *** things? What do you think of the system? Im thinking it would be really easy to give it to a friend if i ever want to skip a day and still get credit for being there...not that i would ever do something like that.

Any pictures/links to this "clicker"? I've never heard of such a contraption.

The one I've seen at VT looks something like this:

They have IR receivers in the front of the lecture hall to receive the signal.

If I'm ever in a class that uses them, it's time to build a little array of IR diodes and jam the receivers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yeah i got the blue one. Trying to jam/**** with the system sounds interesting. The whole thing seems gimicky to me, but we dont have to buy a textbook for the class so that makes up for the $20 cost.
