It sucks cuz you just sit there waiting for the power to go back out... then you sit there waiting for it to come back on..that along with being snow bound inside is oh so lame. I guess that is why most people choose NOT to live in SD.

I would not consider three and a half hours away my 'area' but its a matter of opinion... In my city (Royal Palm Beach, not West Palm) we tend to get power back relatively soon.

A while back we had rolling blackouts during an energy crisis and energy price gouging. All is relatively well now, though. At least I'll never be stuck inside from snow.

it hasnt been snowing like this up here for nearly 7 years or so....pretty intese monday. closed interstates and highways for a day or so. sucks being a pheasant guide and having to cancel your months reservation. went out yesterday and saw probaly 125-175 birds froze....sucks

i dont want to hear anyone complain about power outages (except for hurricane victims) cause last winter when the ice storms rolled through kansas, i went 101 hrs witout any electricity. talk about bored outta my ***...

I am happy to say that we did just get power back full time. It makes me oh so happy! 5.5 days of rolling black outs pw3d me.
