i like it alot.

if you like the yaris, check out the mazda 3 hatch. a bit more expensive, but really nice cars (great interiors) and they look real nice with just some new rims.

and also the vwGTI\golf

i love that shape of car. enjoy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm a tall mofo, @ 6'4" but thankfully my legs aren't really that long....i just have a freakishly tall upper body...right now i drive an escort hatch and i think if i can handle that..this will be OK..
i think black would be the only color to get..and i think some scion wheels would really dress it up for not much money...

plus its a hatch...so it should get loud...a HO alt might be spendy though...

And with my price range (and MPG requirement) I'm pretty much limited to small cars...yet i dont want a daiwoo or a kia...at least a toyota should last through the 100K of driving i will do to finish with school...

My only real complaint about it...(other than its just a little to cute) is that you cant get cruise control in the hatch...wtf?!

oh and it will probably take a while to get one...that sort of sucks..between 6 weeks and 6 months.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
I saw a black scion tC with black stock rims, it looked way clean.

I dont really like painted rims, especially stock but these looked nice.

I dont like the looks of that yaris what so ever, but to each its own. I think if you want a car that is good on gas and better in looks(my opinion) and might be about 2 to 3000 more then look into the civic LX. Great on gas. Gets around 40 on the highway and 32 city. I test drove the LX,EX and just cause I wanted too, I test drove the Si Civic(Car made me cream!) I would get one of those if you could afford it. I wanted to get the EX, but was over 18000 and well just couldnt swing the payments due to my bankruptcy years ago. I would recommend what I got as I love the new Ford Focus St, but gas sucks in it. I get like 21 mpg in the city.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Good luck on your choice though. I am sure you will be happy non the less.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yeah i would like a civic (esp a si) but shit...the civic i want would be way more than this. im poor, and i'm never quite sure how many hours i will be working because of school. I could get a used civic, but shit those mofo's hold their resale value...so i might as well just get this new..

I seriosuly considered the focus zx3, but 40mpg yaris > 34mpg zx3

the b!tch is there are not many 5 speed 3 doors with the power options package...would have to order it from japan..probably take months to get the one i want.

Yeah man, thats what I really wanted was the Si Civic. I mean that car rode and sounded like a dream and for just 21000 would be hard to beat for that price. Actually there was a link going around on the ford focus forum comparing that car to the Cooper S and the VW Gti. The Gti won, but by 2 pts. The civic Si came in second. Just tits!

I have the Ford Focus St, which supposed to give me 24/32 mpg and I dont even get that. But I have the better eng in mine, which is the 2.3 duratec and you can mod the hell out of them cheap. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif The zx3's just come with the zetec 2.0 eng in them and are slow as hell and cant mod them like mine and gets a little better MPG than mine, but not by much. So on that note since you really seem like you want a good MPG car then you might be on the right track. I would trade in looks for great gas mileage with the price of gas nowadays. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif What about a cheaper VW sedan? Those are supposed to get like 50mpg and have a 1.8L witha about 100hp. I will go look it up and post it for you. I like the looks of them. Be back with a link.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The Yaris is a good car. Its pretty roomy too. The sedan is going to give the corolla a run for its money. The Toyota store around here had a Black 3 door stick, not sure if it had a power package though.

Dont get the GTI if your looking for fuel efficient cars. That is the funnest car to beat the piss out of and it gets crap gas mileage when your winding that turbo out all the time

Yeah I test drove the GTi as well and had a blast driving that car too. The one I test drove was right about 26000 bucks, but to be honest the Si was even more fun to drive and just as quick, maybe a hair slower. I like the interior better in the GTi though. Any who, both those cars were off the chain!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

I've got a '95 camry with 224,000 miles original engine and it runs like a singer sewing machine. I love that car.

I've also got an '05 Matrix for my wife. Its a good car and I like it ok (I wanted the camry, but she wanted a wagon). Its a pretty good car; great gas mileage. There's cars out there with better perks for the $, but the Toy's have a great track record.

**** i would love a better car like a gti..but I'm poor and it would be foolish...i just need something that i feel confident putting 100k on in like 2-3 years..then when I'm finished with school i can trade up.. Id like to keep the payment at couple hundred a month..and with $ down i could.. I didn't even start out considering new cars...i was looking at used civics and then started checking these out.

Well maybe the used route would be better for you to keep low monthly payments down. I would keep your eye on a good used civic for gas mileage. Myself I dont like the older civics, just the new ones, but I still think they are good on gas. If you do want a new car, low payments, with a warranty, then I think your on the right track with that car. I also think that Chevy has something out along the lines of this Toyota, called the Aveio I think? Small compact that is supposed to good on gas and cheap. I think they are even cheaper than 13000. Might want to give them a look.

Also to blackgeltabs. I dont think it had that, it was a 6-speed. To be honest with you not sure what the paddle thing your talking about is. Can you enlighten me please.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
