College isn't too neccessary as long as you have a skill that people need...my dad dropped out of college, and now makes 150k a year in the construction industry, and actually working, not just sitting on his ***.

My ex's mom never went to college and now makes ~250k a year...it's all in how you market yourself and how driven you are.

where was he getting his influence from? if he was getting it from negative influences, and conforming to those influences.

i think no one can become a non-conformist. Influences from the person's environment will cause him or her to "conform" if it gives some type of reinforcement.

ive got a couple friends that dropped out of high school and are making 50-75k a year doing construction work, but the problem is the jobs are so tough past 35-45 they arent going to be physically capable of doing the job...who is going to hire a 50 yr old high school drop out.....chances are youll be making 9 bucks an hour driving a tow motor then......

whereas im pretty sure your typical accountant or computer programmer is going to be able to do his job as long as he can count.......

the majority isnt overly desperate to fit in. alot of consumer savvy people which is good but those who go into debt over a wardrobe are such douche. theres just too many toys to play with and too much emphasis on the image.
